Here we go traveling back into time when this girl named Cady knew barely anything about photo besides the photo button and the flash. The first day I walked into Mr. Bush's class my brain was empty but in the first 20 minutes I already knew so much! I sucked at taking photos here are the first three photos I took that day. When Mr. bush said go take some pictures I was exited and didn't know anything about Shutter Speed or Aperture so all of my photos were not as good as everyone elses but that is okay. After a while I got the hang on I understood ISO. We learned about composition o here are a few photos. I had many photos and projects that we worked on and some turned out okay but some were uh let me just say eh. I'm not lying when I said lots of my photos were bad but not all of them are. I had plenty of photos I got lucky with and some that just have no words. But for the good ones that have marked me as a person and let me expand my landscape and my working tools. I have never grown this much in as little of 3 months. I know my taste and what I like to take photos of and how I take them. My brain has grown at least 2x more if not that then I should go see a doctor because I know so much now thanks to Mr. Bush. I must have taken over 400 pictures due to all the assignments and free time. In these three photos I was trying to capture my chickens but they had other plains to be a monster. I was having lots of trouble with the first to photos and then I realized my shutter speed wasn't really in a good spot. In the first couple weeks of this class I was really not understanding shutter speed or anything until I read through the slides again and practiced it right. I the first time I opened photoshop I was shocked, I was only use to the phone apps for filters but let me tell you photoshop was much better. It was really hard for me at first because I had never used it and I didn't really understand all the buttons and tools. The first project we did in photoshop was the Pop Art assignment, which was very fun after I got the hang of it. Here it is. Well this enough talking about how bad all those photos were here is a couple of my best photos. I really like these photos and how I have gotten better as a photographer and I have definitely grown. I am very proud of most of my photos besides the ones that suck but without this class all of them would have been awful anyways. I'm very thankful to be able to write this blog post, take pictures correct and much more. It's very sad that this class is about to end after Thanksgiving and after finals. I really am ready to take more pictures with my camera. Not only do I know how to use a camera now I know how to use some photoshop tools like the ones I used in my photoshop projects. Thank you Mr. Bush for teaching me all of these tools that are really helpful.

This week we had an open assignment which we could do anything with a tutorial . At first I was working on multiple me but it wasn't really working with my and my camera. I didn't like it so I am doing double exposer which is where you take two photos and combine them with filling the person with something, just in my case I did a forest. It was really hard for me because I had never used these things in photoshop but know I know them today. The other reason was because the tutorial was on an older version of photoshop which I will include the link on the bottom of this blog post. I changed the background several times and it took me a couple times to get right but overall it was very fun. This week sucked so much because it was so rainy and gross outside so I shoot inside instead. I didn't really know what to do so i choice Black and White. These photos are all new and cool in there own way. May i present to you, Black & White.
This weeks photo assignment was to take pictures of people in the studio and also by window light, which is called a portrait. Number one is the window light, and number two is the studio.
For the window light picture was really fun to shoot, we had to shoot lots because the first day of shooting was a really rainy day and wasn't so pretty and nice. But finally got this wonderful shot. I will include an extra photo for you guys at the bottom of the blog post if you would like to see it. I didn't really get the nose kissing the lips in this photo but I'm not really sure if it was suspose to happen in the window light. The second day was much better for lighting and was easier to shoot. Number two was the stud light which was really fun to shoot and we shot it on the last day and was really easy and hard at the same time. I thought I captured her pretty well for my first time doing this because the thin light is glowing on her hair edge. I do think I could have toned down the light because it is a little bright. Other then that I did get the nose shadow kissing her lips which we were told to get. here is the extra fun photo: This weeks photo shoot was Buildings, this was probably the most fun I had shooting photos. It was tricky but really fun. I had to deal with the weather conditions in different ways, instead of staying indoors when it was dark and doomy outside I stood my ground and shoot.(I'n a joking way) I shoot different types of buildings all in my home town. Lucky me they were all walking distance and all unique. Here are some of my photos. F/4.5 1/80 ISO200
This is a house in my town, People think that it use to be a farm house before the Town was big. My first shot of this house it wasn't in front of the sidewalk but next to it which did not look pleasing at all. I almost had to go before I took this shot because it started to rain. As I was taking pictures of the houses believe it or not I did get a lot of weird looks for being out he at 7 in the morning. If I say I got weird looks believe me cause it may have been a small town but yeah. Other then that the only other thing I struggled with was making the photo to dark or to light. I had lots of fun taking this shot and shooting other buildings, the fog made it even more fun too. This weeks challenge was Panorama, there was so many places to take photos and I think that these photos are really good for my first try. It was hard to keep the pictures in balance. My favorite photo is probably the road in front of the school.
This weeks photo was animals. I learned that animals can be confusing since they don't know what a camera is but after a while they figure it out and play, due to that I got some really funny shots. Hree are all of my shots I took over the week. f/3.5 1/13 ISO200
This is my cat Xena yes I know it is spelled weird because she is a weird one. I had such a hard time to get this one shot because she would never stay still! I took tons and tons of shots, I'm talking about a lot here. Lets just say the cats will no longer be receive anymore cat treats because there is none left. Anyways I finally got 2 wonderful shots of her after she decided to be nice. This weeks photoshop assignment was to photoshop something onto Saline High School and make it look realistic or completely weird. So at first I had a different image and It wasn't really working so I did a new photo and chose birds. I had a person in the 2nd photo so I had to photoshop him out with taking the same color and covering him. I then added a bird with a crown and made it the king bird. I next added a bunch of other birds flying with a white background. My challenges were taking out some of the birds because the sky was not the same color so it was extremely hard to get it the correct color. I wish it was a brighter photo but I'm glad it wasn't because than it would be even harder to take out the birds. I'm really proud of this because I've never done this before in photoshop but thanks to my teacher I was able to learn these things. I would probably change some of the birds next time or take out the king bird if I wanted a different kind of realistic without him.
This weekend the subject I shot was Macro, I tried to go out in the early morning but it was just to wet and gross. A while after the rain is when I got some pictures. I learned that a lot of things can be Macro not just plants and flowers. I got tons of different types of photos like my dogs side face, in class there was one with the color but I thought I would change where the camera was and it turned out pretty good. Not as good as others but for my first try yes. f/3.5 . 1/800 ISO800
I didn't do any editing on this photo at all, it was a fun photo shoot with my dog though. It was getting really hard for me because she wouldn't stay still so I had to wait till she saw a squirrel. By the way her name is Bella and she is two years old. This weeks assignment was to take pictures of people, which was very fun and a little bit of a challenge. Here are some of the photos I took over the weekend. This was my best photo this week, the triangle is: f/5.0 . 1/160 ISO100 My struggles with this photo was that my younger sister wouldn't hold still so some of the images before this one were very blurry, the sun was very difficult to work with because of how bright it was. Also it was very hard to get the background blurry and still have enough sun because they all effect each other in the exposer triangle. Anyways I like this photo because the main focus point is her eyes and the look in her eyes gives off this king of feeling. I didn't do any photoshop to this photo after I took it. Overall
